Our Story

Where thoughtful design meets architectural character

This first-floor flat in central Arundel once housed a local veterinary practice. After years of standing empty post-COVID, the space was ready for a new purpose. Located above our working architecture studio, it’s now been carefully reimagined as a calm, design-led retreat for guests exploring West Sussex.

Bringing this property back to life has been a creative collaboration between two design professionals — combining architectural insight, interior styling, and an eye for storytelling.

Adam Fahey – Architectural Designer

Adam leads Adam Fahey Design, an architectural design studio based in Arundel. With a background in residential and small-scale commercial design, his approach focuses on integrity, materiality, and proportion. The flat's layout, detailing, and lighting plan were designed to enhance its period features while introducing contemporary comfort and flow.

The ground floor studio beneath the flat is Adam’s working base and was the starting point for seeing the potential in the unused space above.

Abigail Fahey – Photographer & Interior Designer

Abigail works as a professional documentary photographer at Abigail Fahey Photography, and is also part of the design team at Applemoon Interiors, a Sussex based studio specialising in warm, layered residential design.

Her contribution to the flat’s development included material sourcing, interior specification, styling, and all the imagery you see across the listing and website. The space has been curated with both visual clarity and guest comfort in mind.

A Stay with a Story

What was once a sadly neglected working space has now been transformed into a calm, comfortable flat filled with considered design decisions. While compact, the flat makes the most of its generous light and original character, creating a welcoming base for couples, solo travellers, or remote workers.

There’s no garden, but the town itself feels like one — with riverside walks, historic streets, and the castle just minutes from the door.
